Nelly Medina, a dedicated community organizer, parent advocate, and former foster youth, is an active presence in Worcester’s civic life. From championing educational equity and foster children’s rights to supporting local charities and community events, she continues to make a meaningful impact. Her work and advocacy have been featured in various outlets, including a recent appearance on This Is Worcester.

This is Worcester is a program hosted and produced by community activist Bill Coleman. Bill interviews Nelly Medina, Community Activist and Organizer. Nelly wants to save the beach, feed the people and equal education. She is an advocate for children and more through her work with Citizens for Juvenile Justice, the Worcester Education Justice Alliance and the Parents Union of Massachusetts. Worcester students deserve reliable transportation to ensure they make it to school no matter where in the district they are.

For our teachers to do their jobs we must provide them professional development, fair wages, and a safe workplace.
